Patricia Mangione (deceased)

Interviewed by SAI in 2002 by the Fleisher Art Memorial team of Fern Denney (docent) and Thora Jacobson (advisor.) Unfortunately there is no video recording for this artist.

Artist’s Statement:
To be able to bring to life one’s own fantasy, to express secret thoughts and hidden feelings, to liberate the spirit, to make journeys of exploration within oneself - all these experiences are those of the artist.  It is also magical that once a work of art is completed it assumes an entity apart from its maker; the viewer is also a part of it.  The images the paintings create in the viewer’s mind bespeak its magical force.
